Capacity Building of Community Workers

DST has adopted a two pronged approach :

• worked towards building capacities of all three stakeholders : Community Workers, Group Leaders and Members in conducting the activities independently
• setting up monitoring processes at SHG, Federation level and translation of all the monitoring tools to Marathi

DST also supports the grassroots cadre of Community Workers who are DST’s link to all the urban community based initiatives. The Community Workers meetings conducted at DST are a platform for sharing challenges and problems faced at the field level, capacity building for strengthening the Community based organizations – SHGs and Federations.

Mobilised Expert Resource agencies/persons for Community Workers meetings to provide inputs on a wider spectrum of topics:

· “Green the red”, a green warrior gave an opportunity to discuss green and healthy alternatives to disposable sanitary pads

· Benefits of Yoga

· Sharing the impact of the Sustainable Development Goals
